Busary for Thrid Level Education

Are you going to 3rd. level college this year? Would you like €1,500.00 per year to help you on your way?

 

Closing Date for Application Forms is the last Saturday in August at 12.00am.

 

The Draw for the bursary will take place on the 2nd. Saturday in September.

The regulations applying to this Bursary is as follows.

 

  • The Applicant must be an active member of Kilnamanagh Credit Union Ltd. For at least three months prior to the application.
  • The successful applicant must agree to do at least two hours voluntary work once a month for the Kilnamanagh Credit Union Limited for the period of the Bursary.
  • The successful applicant will be picked by a lottery system,
  • That one candidate is drawn out once a year.
  • That the successful candidate receives the sum of €1,500.00 annually in the form of two monitories, paid out in October and January, each year of the bursary.
  • Unsuccessful candidates may re apply on succeeding years.
  • Should the candidates fail to enter their second or third year of study, or opt out of college, all agreements will be deemed null and void.

Conditions relating to the Bursary.

 

(1) It was agreed that the successful applicant be picked by a lottery system, i.e. as our monetary draw.

 

(2) That a candidate be drawn out once a year.

 

(3) That the successful candidate receive the sum of €1,500.00 annually in the form of two monitory's, paid out in October and January.

 

(4) That the Credit Union pay out to 2 x €1500.00 to successful candidates the total sum of €3,000.00 on the second year and pay out to 3 x €1500.00 to successful candidates the total sum of €4,500.00 on all succeeding years. The final payment being on the assumption that after the second year there would be three qualified candidates on our books.

 

(5) Unsuccessful candidates may re apply on succeeding years.

 

(6) Should the candidates fail to enter their second year of study, or opt out of college, all agreements will be deemed null and void.
