Kilnamanagh Credit Union is totally focused on providing services to improve the economic and social well being of all its members. An efficient and dedicated staff provides these services. The directors, supervisors, staff and volunteers are committed to on-going training thus sustaining a strong and vibrant credit union.

1986
A small group of people who believed in the idea of a credit union organized a public meeting at which twenty-seven people volunteered to form a study group.
May 1986
This study group began its study into the history, law and rules of the Irish credit union movement.
Friday 13th February 1987
Following nine months of dedication, study and savings, Kilnamanagh Credit Union Limited opened its doors to new members.
In The Early Years
St. Kevin’s Girls School was home to the credit union with opening hours on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
August 1995
The credit union moved to its present purpose-built home. Membership grew rapidly exceeding 1,000 by February 1988. There are now 6,500 active members.
Directors
There are thirteen elected members on the Board of Directors whose duties are to manage and direct the credit union.
Supervisors
In addition there are three elected Supervisors whose duties are to oversee the workings of the Board of Directors and to protect the members’ shareholdings.
