RECENTLY IMPOSED LENDING RESTRICTIONS

 

KILNAMANAGH CREDIT UNION is currently unaffected by the recent lending restrictions announcement and continues to offer and promote loans to its members.  

 

If you have any loan queries please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.

 

The vast majority of credit unions have sufficient funds available to lend to members once an appropriate evaluation of the members ability to repay has been completed.  

 

While the restrictions mentioned in the media are having an impact on some credit unions, others are completely unaffected by these developments.

 

Credit Unions in the Republic of Ireland are covered by the Deposit Protection Scheme, which is administered by the Central Bank of Ireland.  

 

Savings of €100,000 per member are currently covered by the Government Guarantee.
